Publisher

The assignments for the most part went really well i forgot to do the discussion but the publisher assignment was good. The resume and brochure was a good learning experience and will help in the future.

The brochure was a good experience considering i have never done that before and introduced me to publisher which i had never used before.

There was nothing that i believe i need to review.

Publisher was really cool to use and simple as-well. I was surprised in how comfortable i was in using it considering i had never used it before. It is a good program to use for graphic organizers and i will probably use it.

I don't think educators should try to match the technology used by students but at least try and understand the technology the students are using. This is so you can relate to them and if the opportunity comes up you can use some of it to teach.

I don't believe online chats are useful in the classroom i think they would be more of a distraction then anything. Students would more and likely use it to talk about something else.

I believe text based instruction would be useful for students who are shy or learn better by reading the information. Face to face allows the student to be able to ask questions on the spot and make a real connection between the two parties.

I think it could help some for students who want to listen to the information given more then one time. Could help to go over a few things for better understanding.

I believe video games could help you in studying that is if the game is based on some form of a educational value. They have some games that actually help your brain become more sharp and process different information faster. Also games can stimulate the mind in ways that other things can not. If i had kids i would let them play games for many reasons like stimulation of the brain and some educational value can be gained.

week6

I think book marking websites would be very useful when doing a research paper or just having things put back for a reference purpose. I think i will use this in the future on papers and other things. I find it to be useful.

week 4

I think spreadsheet is a very useful program for anybody. I know when i become a teacher and a coach that i will use it in both Fields. As teachers we use spreadsheets to keep all kinds of things organized. From grades to what objectives we still need to cover in the class. Using this instead of a calculator is way better because after you put in the formula once it will do all the calculations for you, saving you lots of time. I would also use it in coaching for keeping stats and player progress in order as well.

Inspiration

Inspiration seems to be a program that is by students to helped them brain storm ideas. I think the use of this program would be good in today's society where kids are spending more and more time on computers. I like how it helps students to organize there work and help them be more creative with there project or paper. Not sure i would use this in a physical education class where you spend most of your time learning and doing different physical activities. Although i do thin the student could use this program to organize how different activities relate to each other and how they help your physical health differently.

The diagrams would be the best used program off inspiration in a physical education class. This way you can connect the activities to how they relate to each other and how they help there physical health. This would give them a visable picture of how physical activites are alike. I think something like myleo where we have a discussion area to talk and give feedbakc to each other. I think if the students posted what they need looked at on something like that they could get good feedback and plagerism would be easy see. The one draw back would be students trying to still others ideas.

Blogging School

I think blogs are a great way to ask questions or give your comments to people of many different Fields. I think it depends on the class if blogging belongs or not. Class like Etec 424 blogging is good way to discuss what we are doing in class. I don't believe they are a waste of time they do have there place like anything if used right. Like in physical education blogging could be a good way to ask questions on how to do different exercises or activities.

Intorduction

My name is Harley i am 22 and i live in sulphur springs TX. I have two older brothers and on younger sister. When i graduate i will be the first person in my family to graduate from college. I think blogging is a great way to learn about mnay different things in life.
